The Arts Group Front Office is hiring student assistants! 1-3 positions are available.

Job Description:

The Arts Group Advising Center provides support to the Art Studio, Art History, Cinema & Digital Media, Design, Music and Theatre & Dance programs. We are seeking independent, organized and outgoing undergraduate students to ll our Student Assistant III positions. Job duties include, but are not limited to: front office management and reception duties, using independent judgment and decision making when checking and responding to incoming emails in a timely manner or responding to inquiries in person and on the phone, greeting all visitors with a friendly and positive manner, offering clerical support, implement data entry, creating/updating spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel, Word and other computer programs requiring special knowledge, maintaining student and instructor records, keeping office organized and clean, performing miscellaneous assigned tasks, and running errands. Applicants need to have analytical skills to work and problem solve independently, to coordinate the course evaluation process, and to manage the appointment system administration.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have the following skills: ability to prioritize tasks, knowledge of office management and specialized computer programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), independent decision making, and excellent typing and organizational skills. Must have professional decorum using tact, diplomacy and pleasant interpersonal skills necessary to work in a busy academic unit. Must be self-motivated and eager to take on new tasks/projects. Must be dependable and reliable.
